International Nurses Day, May 12, 2020
The year 2020 is announced by the World Health Organization as International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife. It truly is an exciting time. It would have been perfect to celebrate this occasion had the world not thrown the curveball of COVID19 pandemic. But these testing times have proven again the dedication and importance of nurses in healthcare globally.
There is probably no person whose family, friend or colleague has not been touched by the kindness, warmth, and care of a nurse. This is a time not just to celebrate nurse’s day but to appreciate and salute their efforts in keeping everyone safe.
We at Avivo Health Group, are immensely proud of all our nurses working hard and diligently in daily care, emergency care, aesthetic care, and homecare to keep our units running efficiently. Our group CEO, Dr.Atul Aundhekar felicitated the nurses at Aesthetica Clinic, Dubai Healthcare City, on 12th May 2020. All operations teams took a moment of brief relief to cut cake and share the joyous moment of our nurses taking a bow.
The theme for 2020, Nurses: A Voice to Lead – Nursing the World to Health, could not be more apt! For us, our nurses are our superheroes. When quoted to them, very dignified, they responded with “We are only doing our jobs!”
Avivo Health Group congratulates all the nurses across the world on this International Nurse’s Day.
